Dave Block and Midnight Sun Theatre are partnering with Anchorage Community Theatre to present this wonderful musical comedy. The show, which uses pop songs from the '50s and '60s as a vehicle to tell its story, pays homage to the high school songleader squads of the 1950s. When called upon to perform at their senior prom as a last minute replacement, Springfield High Songleaders, Betty Jean, Cindy Lou, Missy and Suzy, rally together to entertain their classmates in four-part harmony.
We got a great cast for the show!Betty Jean - Emily Foreman
Cindy Lou - Emily Littlefield
Missy - Megan Perkins
Suzy - Vanezza Merjilla
Anchorage Community Theatre presented its first play, Down in the Valley, in 1953, putting on three more plays that year including Harvey and A Christmas Carol. Check out the list of all our plays at ACT. Over the past six decades we have strived to consistently present great stories at prices everyone can afford. We started our 2012/2013 season in September with the classic play On Golden Pond, authored by Ernest Thompson and directed by Krista Schwarting. We have a great season scheduled with a funny Christmas show, a warm drama, a world premier comedy, and a great musical comedy. We also are partnering with Midnight Sun Theatre to put on another musical comedy this summer.
We also allow businesses to purchase reasonably priced ads in our season's playbills, viewed by over 5,000 attendees at our plays. Please send us the playbill ad order form.
