COMING UP:
Stand Up Comedy Night
by Anchorage Community Theatre
March 8, 2025
Join us for some stand-up by some ACT sycophants. The bar will be open, food can be ordered upstairs before the event, first come first seated. This is for MATURE AUDIENCES, if you bring a kid, this show might lead them on the path of self-destruction and bad manners for life.

ACT is excited to announce the revival of our Children’s Program: Broadway Kidz!
The goal of Broadway Kidz is to educate and train young performers (ages 7-14) and provide local, musical theatre performance opportunities within the Anchorage community.
We will kick off this program in March. The Spring Break 2025 Theatre Intensive runs from March 10- 14, 2025
Students can expect:
⭐️ a fun, inclusive learning environment
⭐️ lunch and snacks provided
⭐️ audition preparation and coaching
⭐️ training in singing, acting, movement, and theatre basics
⭐️ local performance opportunity at end of the week
The cost of this week long session is $300
Broadway Kidz is inspired by Jill Bess’ program at ACT in the early 2000s.
Play Readers' Club
by Anchorage Community Theatre
March 25, 2025
ACT is continuing our Play Readers' Club every last Tuesday of the month. We will gather and read a play, new or old, original or adaptation just for fun. We continue with Saturday's Children, a play by Maxwell Anderson on Tuesday (2/25) at 1133 E. 70th Ave. at 6 PM.
"Does romance die with wedding bells?" With beautifully written dialogue and complex characters, Saturday’s Children set in 1927 Manhattan, explores themes of love, ambition, and societal pressure not unlike what a young couple would encounter today.
